"Success is not a destination but a Journey"

We successfully launched MINDS on April 19th 2010 at Dubai International Academic City. MINDS stands for Manager Interface for Networking & Developing Skills and has been formed by careertunity.com in collaboration with S P Jain Centre of Management. MINDS was created to serve as a platform for HR Managers and Senior Professionals to discuss, debate trends, HR & Business Practises. The forum will be held once every two months and will offer an array of interactive, educational activities, including workshops, training, seminars, debates and speaker sessions.

The inaugural MINDS forum addressed key challenges in driving employee engagement. Stephan Melchior, Managing Director and Consultant of Wilson Learning, Middle East and a 10-year veteran in training professionals from over 20 countries presented "Performance with fulfilment – why we need both". Stephan talked at length on leaders and leadership, their attributes and what they usually focus on - employee performance. He intertwined the concept of fulfilment and explained how it can lead to high performance. He left an impression in the minds of participants, simply by giving 5 tips to good leadership:

1. Provide Direction
2. Help develop Goals
3. Provide Recognition
4. Share Feedback
5. Provide Support

The participatory method was well-appreciated by all participants. MINDS takes pride in bring speakers with cutting edge topics.

In months to come, it will provide the platform to table ideas and exchange views.
